Is your honey raw?
Yes.
Our honey is never pasteurized.
After harvesting, it is gently strained to remove larger natural hive materials before it is bottled.
Why do you strain your honey?
We gently strain our honey to remove larger natural pieces of wax, honeycomb, and the occasional bee part that may remain after harvesting.
Straining does not involve heating the honey or making any additions to it.
Can I purchase unstrained honey?
Absolutely.
If you’re looking for raw honey exactly as it comes from the hive, we may be able to provide unstrained honey upon request, depending on availability.
If you have a special request, please contact us through Den Mail. We’ll be happy to help.
Do you add anything to your honey?
Our original honey contains one ingredient:
Raw Florida honey.
From time to time, we may also offer specialty varieties made with carefully selected natural ingredients. Any added ingredients will always be listed on the product label and in the product description.
Why does my honey look or taste different from my last jar?
Honey is a natural product, so its color, aroma, flavor, and texture naturally vary from one harvest to another, depending on the flowers visited by the bees, the seasons, and the weather.
From time to time, you may also notice small differences in the bottle, lid, label, or other details. As a small business, we occasionally update our packaging or use different suppliers based on availability.
Every jar is harvested, filled, labeled, and packed by hand. Those small variations are part of what makes each jar uniquely Cozy Den.
My honey has crystallized. Is it still good?
Yes.
Crystallization is a natural characteristic of raw honey and does not mean the honey has spoiled.
If you prefer a smoother consistency, place the closed container in warm (not boiling) water until the honey gradually returns to a more liquid state.
How should I store my honey?
Store your honey at room temperature in a cool, dry place.
Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.
Always use a clean, dry utensil when serving.
There is no need to refrigerate your honey.
Why should I keep water out of my honey?
Honey naturally contains very little moisture.
Introducing water into the container can reduce its natural stability and may encourage fermentation over time.
How long will honey last?
When stored properly in a sealed container, honey has an exceptionally long shelf life.
Natural changes in color, aroma, texture, or crystallization may occur over time and are normal characteristics of raw honey.
Do you offer bulk honey?
Sometimes
While our online shop focuses on our everyday collection, we may occasionally accommodate larger or special requests, depending on availability.
If you have something in mind, please reach out through Den Mail.
Can weather affect my order?
Weather may occasionally affect honey harvests, processing times, local deliveries, or shipments.
